I am aged between 4 and 6 and I do not yet know how to snowplough.

In our kid's garden, Club Piou-Piou, your child will start learning the basics of skiing in complete safety whilst having lots of fun. Once the basic snowplough and ability to stop have been mastered, it will be time to head out of the kids garden for the green slopes on the snowfront.

CLASS SIZE: maximum 8 children per group

SKI PASS: not required at the start of the week - the instructor will let you know when one is needed

Minimum of 2 students required for the group lessons to run. If only 1 person books, the lessons come to an end after Monday's lesson, with no refund possible.

Can I leave my child with you all day?

Yes, between the ages of 3 to 11, children can do a half day skiing with ESF and the kids club Les Petits Trappeurs will then look after them and give them lunch.

My child is 5 years old and has never skied before or has not yet mastered the snowplough. Which group should I book for them?

The Ourson 4-6 beginners.

My child is 5, knows how to snowplough and has already got their Sifflote or Garalou badge. Which group should I book for them?

In the Ourson 4-6 initiated.

What age can children join the snowboard group lessons?

The snowboard group lessons are open to kids and teens aged 10 to 17. Before or after these ages, it is of course possible to book private snowboarding lessons.

Can we stay for the lesson?

Even if you are very discreet, your child is likely to spot you and that might lead to tears or them not wanting to ski any more.

Please don't worry, our instructors will give you feedback on your child's progress at the end of the lesson. We also have your phone number to contact you in case of any problems or if your child won't settle.

Should we provide a snack?

Yes, a snack will always go down a treat during breaktime!

My child is 4 and I believe that the ski pass is free for under 5s. However, they weren't allowed on the chairlift. Why?

Anyone taking the chairlift need to have a valid ski pass, whether this is free or needs to be paid for. The free ski pass can be collected from the lift pass office – they will request ID by way of proof of age.

My child is a beginner. Will they need a ski pass from the 1st day of lessons?

No, your child will not need a ski pass for the 1st day. The instructor will let you know when it is time to get a pass. This also applies to private lessons.
